this was my research project for the first semester of my final year at uni! i wanted to explore melancholy and how i could represent that visually in the comic medium. this was super transformative work for me and helped me figure out the direction i want to take my work in.

my initial experimentation stage - this was really fun and gave me such an appreciation for monoprint! i was working from my own text and also some songs and poems that i was listening to at this time.
